All buildings constructed in the City are required to be set back from property lines. Minimum setback distances are based on the zoning area in which a building is or will be located, and the building code.
Additionally, certain zonings will have special setback requirements based on location and local conditions. Examples include increased setbacks that must be maintained adjacent to residential districts or conservation areas.
The City sets limits for maximum lot coverage. For example, maximum lot coverage within the Service Commercial Zone is 40%. Coverage limits vary based on zoning areas.
