Planning Projects and Public Consultation

The following are some of the policy initiatives, projects and public consultation being undertaken by the Development Services Department:

NOTICE OF PROCESSING AN APPLICATION FOR A DEVELOPMENT VARIANCE PERMIT
Location: 19328 Park Road, Pitt Meadows.
Purpose: To vary Subdivision and Development Servicing Bylaw No. 2206, to allow a hammer head turnaround instead of a cul-de-sac, as the western end of Cusick Crescent Road as shown shaded on the conceptual map which is located here for further information.
Date of consideration by Council:  February 16, 2010

LAND USE BYLAW REVIEW OPEN HOUSE
Please join us April 15th, 2009 at the Pitt Meadows City Hall, 12007 Harris Road from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm for an Open House to meet with City staff and discuss the City's review of the sections regulating urban residential uses in the Land Use Bylaw. Click here for further information.

CONSULTATION ON RESIDENTIAL REGULATIONS IN AGRICULTURAL ZONES
A preliminary report was forwarded to Council in Committee (the "CIC") on February 24, 2009. In this report, staff reported on the results of the questionnaires returned following the Public Open House held on December 10, 2008 and indicated a further report will be forwarded to Council at a future date. NEW OFFICIAL COMMUNITY PLAN
The City of Pitt Meadows' City Council adopted the new Official Community Plan on September 2nd, 2008. The Official Community Plan (OCP) is a long range (20 year) guide for the City that helps Council in making decisions on matters such as land use and growth, transportation, agricultural preservation, economic development and housing. SMART GROWTH POLICY AND CHECKLIST
On July 8, 2008 Council approved Policy E28 Smart Growth Checklist for the use of a Smart Growth Checklist for Development Applications to be completed and submitted by developers and to accompany development proposals.
