Smart Growth Policy and Checklist
On July 8, 2008, Council approved Policy E28 Smart Growth Checklist for the use of a Smart Growth Checklist for Development Applications to be completed and submitted by developers and to accompany development proposals.
In 2004, a paper entitled A Smart Growth Direction for the District of Pitt Meadows was prepared for the City by West Coast Environmental Law. Many of its recommendations have been incorporated in the current Official Community Plan, and the checklist articulates and supplements these OCP Policies.
