Welcome to the City of Pitt Meadows award winning website - voted best by the Union of British Columbia municipalities.  The website contains lots of information about Pitt Meadows and is becoming increasingly important as a means of doing business with the City.

Pitt Meadows is a growing community with significant change on the horizon.  The opening of the Golden Ears and the new Pitt River bridges in 2009 presents many opportunities and challenges.  The City has been working diligently in planning for the new facilities and will continue to plan for Lougheed corridor transportation improvements a part of the province's Gateway roadway system.

Community liveability is a major priority and numerous initiatives are underway to improve the quality of life for our residents.  Council is committed to creating a balanced tax base of new business development providing a stronger fiscal position for the City.  New civic facilities are being developed and others planned to meet citizen needs.  Those include a new Spirit Square, seniors centre and future library, as well as a new community building in South Bonson.

We stand by our mission to maintain a livable community that provides a wide range of opportunities for individual and corporate citizens to thrive in a sustainable manner. When residents were asked what they like best about living in Pitt Meadows, 46% of the residents surveyed stated they like the small-town atmosphere. The increased development in Pitt Meadows involves balancing the interests of our residents in order to maintain the City's unique mix of urban and rural offerings.

We continuously strive to increase communication opportunities with our residents and businesses.  Council agendas and minutes are now posted on our website for easy viewing and renovations at the City Hall have allowed us to streamline processes and increase services for our residents and businesses.
