Corporate Services (HR, Communications and IT)
The Communications, HR and IT departments provide internal support to the City through staff, interacting with the public, and outreach.
Communications works with all City departments to provide strategic communications planning and advice, leadership and direction for marketing campaigns; media buying, media relations and monitoring; online strategy, design and content.
Human Resources includes organizational development, recruitment and retention, training and development, performance management, labour relations including collective agreement interpretation and labour management and occupational health, safety and wellness for over 100 employees.
Information Technology is responsible for the day-today maintenance of the City’s network servers and related external infrastructure, mobile devices and business application software for all municipal departments. This division provides leadership for the planning, development and management of the City’s information technology systems.
