PITT MEADOWS FIRE & RESCUE SERVICE AWARDS BANQUET

PITT MEADOWS, BC: The Pitt Meadows Fire & Rescue Service Awards Banquet was held on March 7, 2011 at the Pitt Meadows Golf Club. The banquet is sponsored by City Council to recognize past and present fire service members for their service and accomplishments in 2010.

One of the highlights of the evening was the presentation of the Government of Canada - Federal Fire Service Exemplary Service Medal to Assistant Fire Chief Brad Perrie.

The Annual Department Awards were presented to this year's recipients:

Firefighter of the Year Al McGee
Officer of the Year Jay Ruzycki
Special Recognition Award Jay Ruzycki

Members receiving City Long Service Pins included:

Dave Biggin 5 years Scott Kyle 10 years
Sean Roche 5 years Peter Hamming 15 years
Stephen Bertoia 5 years Bruce Edwards 15 years
Brad Perrie 20 years

A retirement gift was presented to Dennis Barron with 20 years of service.
