PITT MEADOWS, B.C. – Mayor Becker and his Council colleagues put forward their “Issues to Review” list Tuesday night. The “Council Four Year Action Table” consists of over 80 items, including a broad range of topics from traffic calming to youth engagement.

Regarding the document, Mayor Becker pointed out that “the list is just that –a list of items that we collectively have heard from constituents about during and after the election. As a Council, we felt that it is important to be able to go back to tell our constituents that their voices were heard and that all of those issues will be reviewed by Council during our term.”

“That is not to say that all of these issues will receive majority Council approval to move action,” he added.

The complete list will be put into the City work plan over the next four years. Council has also set aside two full days of strategic planning and priority setting work for February and March where all City priorities will be generated.

Council members were quick to point out that even though something appears on the list, no decisions have been made.

“This is like a proposed table of contents – now we need to see where we are at and put some context to the issues. It is exciting, the beginning of the dialogue and the beginning of us forming the agenda for the next four years,” added Mayor Becker.

A complete calendar indicating when these topics will be discussed will be forthcoming. The complete Action Table is available on the City's website at in the Agenda for Tuesday's meeting.
