WORKING TOGETHER TO KEEP PITT MEADOWS 'THE NATURAL PLACE'

PITT MEADOWS, B.C. – On Tuesday, July 22nd, the City of Pitt Meadows supported Redl Sports, a division of Maurice Sporting Goods, in their community service initiative, Make a Difference Day, to help make Pitt Meadows a better place for all.

Since 2008, through the Maurice Cares charitable organization, staff of Maurice Sporting Goods have been participating in Make a Difference Day - a day for the organization's associates to give back to their communities through a day of service.

This year their 80 staff members focused on two projects; one in Pitt Meadows and the other in Maple Ridge. The Pitt Meadows project focused on removing litter from the Katzie Slough. Redl Sports / Maurice Sporting Goods staff were joined by members of Pitt Meadows Council, City staff and members of the City's Green Team.
“Pitt Meadows is dedicated to green initiatives and protecting our City's natural spaces. We look forward to partnering again with Maurice Sporting Goods in their effort to keep Pitt Meadows The Natural Place to live, work and play,” said Mayor Walters.
