PITT MEADOWS STUDENTS TO ACT AS FIRE CHIEF FOR A DAY

Pitt Meadows, BC - The City of Pitt Meadows Fire & Rescue Service has announced two young Pitt Meadows students as this year’s Fire Chief for a Day in their annual event promote safety awareness and engage with youth in the community. Nate Jonas of Pitt Meadows Elementary and Mina Edwards of Edith McDermott Elementary were drawn from hundreds of ballots entered to be Fire Chief for a Day at the Fire Prevention Week open house held at the Pitt Meadows Fire Hall in early October.

Pitt Meadows Fire & Rescue will pick up Nate and Mina from their respective schools on the morning of November 26th and present them with their Fire Chief gear. The morning is spent fulfilling Fire Chief duties around Pitt Meadows followed by a delicious “staff” lunch.
