Councillor Bruce Bell

Bruce Bell was first elected to Council in November of 2008. He was born in Vancouver and has been a resident of Pitt Meadows for the past 32 years.He is a retired union president and formerly

an Officer of the BC Federation of Labour. Bruce has also worked for the

Health Employers Association of BC as a compensation consultant,

working with the many unions in health care. Currently, Bruce works

for Health Match BC as the project manager for the BC Care Aide

and Community Health Worker Registry, which registers care aides

and community health workers in order to protect vulnerable patients,

residents and clients from abuse. This registry is the first of its kind in Canada.

Bruce has been an active member of the community, serving as a volunteer

firefighter and chairing Pitt Meadows Secondary's Dry Grad committee,

as well as coaching and umpiring minor baseball. He has also served as a

member of the Pitt Meadows' Day Society and the Pitt Meadows Economic Development Advisory Committee.

As he begins his second three-year term, Bruce looks forward to serving the City of Pitt Meadows as an active member on Council.
