Bruce Bell was elected to Council in November of 2008.   He was born in Vancouver and has been a resident of Pitt Meadows for the past 28 years. During this time, Bruce has been an active member of the community.  He has enjoyed serving as a volunteer firefighter and chairing Pitt Meadows Secondary's Dry Grad committee, as well as, coaching and umpiring minor baseball, and serving as a member of the Pitt Meadows' Day Society and the Pitt Meadows Economic Development Advisory Committee.

Bruce is a retired union president and formerly an Officer of the B.C. Federation of Labour.   He has served as a Director on the Board of Directors of Concert Properties - a real estate development company based in Vancouver. Bruce has worked for the Health Employers Association of BC as a compensation consultant working with the many unions in health care. Bruce is currently working for Health Match BC as the project manager for the BC Care Aide and Community Health Worker Registry. This is the first registry of its kind in Canada.

Bruce has always been interested in building.   He built his family's home in Pitt Meadows and is currently building a cabin on Pitt Lake with his wife, Judy.

As a  council member, Bruce is looking forward to further serving the City and sharing his diverse knowledge and experience with the community.
