Bruce Bell was newly elected to Council in November of 2008.   He was born in Vancouver and has been a resident of Pitt Meadows for the past 28 years. During this time, Bruce has been an active member of the community.  He has enjoyed serving as a volunteer firefighter and chairing Pitt Meadows Secondary's Dry Grad committee, as well as, coaching and umpiring minor baseball, and serving as a member of the Pitt Meadows' Day Society and the Pitt Meadows Economic Development Advisory Committee.

Bruce is a retired union president and formerly an Officer of the B.C. Federation of Labour.   He has served as a Director on the Board of Directors of Concert Properties - a real estate development company based in Vancouver. Bruce is currently working for the Health Employers Association of B.C. as a Compensation Consultant.

Bruce has always been interested in building.   He built his family's home in Pitt Meadows and is currently building a cabin on Pitt Lake with his wife, Judy.

As a new council member, Bruce is looking forward to further serving the City and sharing his diverse knowledge and experience with the community.
