Councillor Tracy Miyashita
Tracy has served on council since 2008. Born and raised in the rural town of Oakbank, Manitoba, she moved to BC for university and lived in the Lower Mainland and Prince George before settling in Pitt Meadows where she has lived for the past 14 years.
Tracy has a Bachelor of Leadership and Management from BCIT and a Bachelor of General Studies from Simon Fraser University. She has worked in various sectors including non-profit organizations, local governments, First Nations, and has operated a small business. She currently works as a project manager in the health sector for the Division of Family Practice.
Tracy has been an active member of the community and currently volunteers on the community council for the Salvation Army Caring Place, as well as Pitt Meadows Day and Canada Day. She has worked with many volunteers, community groups, governments and First Nations communities throughout her career.
Tracy enjoys spending time with her son Simon, watching NFL, fishing, and canning. She has completed eight marathons so far, and can often be seen running around Pitt Meadows.
Tracy looks forward to continuing to serve her community over the next four-year term on Council.
