Councillor John Becker

John was first elected to Council in 2002. He graduated from U.B.C. with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1977, and graduated from U.B.C. Law School in 1980. John moved out to Maple Ridge to start his own law practice in 1981, and moved his law practice to Pitt Meadows in 1993.

John has been very active in his community and is a past member of the Maple Ridge Parks & Recreation Commission, an active Board member of the Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows Community Services Council, Past President of the local Kinsman Service Club and Provincial Governor, volunteer legal advisor for a number of social housing societies, past Board member of the Maple Ridge Treatment Centre, member of the Pitt Meadows Agricultural Advisory Committee and is currently on the Board of Governor's of Meadowridge Independent School.
