Come and meet as a community to enjoy a celebration of Pitt Meadows
and summer fun for the whole family!

History

The event originally started as a Strawberry Tea during the Great Depression and grew from there. This year we celebrate 77 years of Pitt Meadows Day Celebrations!

Pitt Meadows Day 2018 Schedule of Events

All events & activities are FREE! - Only pay for any food & drinks or purchases from artisans.

7:00am-10:00am

Lions Pancake Breakfast at Heritage Hall

$5 per adult, $2 per child 12 and under

11:00am

Parade begins at Hammond & Blakely Road, proceeds up Hammons Road to Harris and down Harris to Harris Road Park.  For SAFETY please use Water Soakers, Water Blasters, and Water Guns for any water fights.  NO WATER BALLOONS! 

Note: Harris Road and Hammond Road both CLOSE at 10:00am and REOPEN after the Parade.  Please plan alternate routes and watch for traffic control volunteers.

10:30pm-3:30pm

Pitt Meadows Museum and Hoffman & Son Garage will have live blacksmithing and stationary engine demonstrations, as well as the opening of their new exhibit: Eights of Interest: 8 Things You Did Not Know About the General Store. 

11:30pm-4:30pm Secure Bike Check hosted by Pitt Meadows Active Transportation Advisory Committee at Heritage Hall.  Help celebrate Bike Month - Go Green, and enjoy the festivities while your bike is safe with us!

Ribbon Cutting at Harris Road Water Park we’re celebrating the opening of our new spray park at Harris Road Park, the spray park will be turned on for the season! Bring your swimsuits and towels!

Artisan's Market, local home-based artisans including hand-knitted toys & clothes, jewellery, baked goods, soaps, gifts, clothing, etc.

Field Exhibitors, many local groups and businesses with displays and activities for the whole family to enjoy, including bouncy castles, face painting, music, sports and games, cavies, fitness, antique and classic cars, arts and crafts for kids, demonstrations and information.

Family & Youth Fun, including Hungry Hippo Chow Down, Eliminator, Gauntlet, Tumble Bus and 4-H animals.

1:30pm-5:00pm

Pitt Meadows Day Skateboard Competition hosted by Hippie Mike. Registration begins at 1:30pm, FREE to enter.
Categories: Mini (10 & under); Beginner; Intermediate; Advanced; Girls. Music by DJ Cuz-O

Donations are greatly appreciated and will be given to the Pitt Meadows Food Bank

2:00pm-4:00pm

Opening Reception of the Youth Art Show at the Pitt Meadows Art Gallery

4:00pm-8:00pm

Free Youth Activities at the Pitt Meadows Recreation Centre including Basketball Drop-in, Billiards and Ping Pong Tournaments, Skateboard and Scooter Competition, as well as a BBQ in the Rec Centre Sport Court.

5:00pm-7:00pm

Chicken & Salmon BBQ - chicken cooked by Henry's Outdoor BBQ and Salmon cooked by Firefighter's Association.  Community Volunteers work tirelessly in the kitchen to arrange all food and plate the dinners for you to enjoy!  You can choose from a 1/2 chicken or 1 piece of salmon, each served with potato salad, bun, pickle, cookie and a drink for $10 a plate.

6:30pm-8:30pm Free Family Dance for all ages in the Upper Floor of Heritage Hall.
10:00pm (Dusk) Fireworks by the Pitt Meadows Fire Rescue Service at the Pitt Meadows Athletic Park - a great end to a special day.  To help cut down on traffic congestion, please carpool or walk.

Please plan alternate routes and watch for traffic control volunteers.

Airport Day Shuttle Information - Shuttle Map 1 and Shuttle Map 2

Each shuttle will load/unload from our event and move every 10 minutes to the next pick-up/drop-off location.
