Volunteering with the City of Pitt Meadows is a great opportunity to meet new people, build new skills, and get involved in your community. There are many exciting volunteer opportunities to consider with the City of Pitt Meadows. Be sure to check back often for new volunteer opportunities!
Current Opportunities in the Community
Remembrance Day – November 11th 10:30am-12pm
In support of this annual event, we support Legion 88 in hosting this event. Volunteers are needed for the following shifts:
- 7:30am-2:00pm – Overall outdoor set up as well in indoor reception area to follow the service.
Christmas in Pitt Meadows – December 1st 6pm – 8pm
There will be lights, there will be Hot Chocolate, there will be Santa and Mrs. Clause, but the magic of the night is only possible with community engagement and support from volunteers like you! Volunteers are needed for the following shifts:
- 1:00pm-5:00pm - Set up tents, lighting and installations before the event
- 5:00pm-9:00pm - Assistance with the indoor and outdoor programming, Info booth management and overall flow of the event as well as efficient clean up after the event.
Community Engagement: You can also participate in other ways:
- Tree Decorating Contest: It’s back! Do you have an artificial tree, a group of people, and a passion for decorating? Do you just want to win? Then enter our Tree Decorating Competition. Enter before Friday November 24th. Tree’s will be set up during the day on December 1st and judged at the event. Winner will be announced the following week.

Canada 150 for 150 Volunteer Challenge
In recognition of Canada’s 150th birthday, the City of Pitt Meadows is challenging the community to sign up to participate in the Canada 150 for 150 Volunteer Challenge.
