Age-Friendly Cities Initiative
Last year, seniors, agencies, organizations and staff were engaged in conversations on how to make our community age friendly. An age friendly community means a place where older adults can enjoy good health, support and feel a sense of security as they engage and participate in community life. The attached Age Friendly Initiatives report, highlights the community engagement process and community consultation outcomes. The Age Friendly Action Plan provides specific details pertaining to current and future actions that will make our community more age friendly. As a component to this process, the City of Pitt Meadows has applied for Age Friendly Recognition through the Province of BC.
