The City of Pitt Meadows is committed to meeting the transportation needs of a growing residential population and of a thriving business sector, both now and in the future. Easy access in and out of Pitt Meadows will support economic development and investment in local enterprise. It will also enable residents to travel more easily to and from their education, health care and family. An efficient, convenient and safe transportation system is essential to the movement of goods and people who provide services to our community.

General Information

TransLink, the regional transportation authority is planning transit service improvements. On December 15th a link on the site will be replaced by the February 1st changes containing all of the bus re-routes and added services related to the Olympics.

The 15-year business plan for the Pitt Meadows Regional Airport considers the growth of the airport as a serious aviation alternative for the Lower Mainland and the Fraser Valley. Success depends on the ability of the Airport Society and the City to partner with other airports and the aviation industry.
The provincial government recently announced the details of the Gateway project which includes the North Fraser perimeter road and the expansion of Highway 7 in conjunction with the new Pitt River crossing.
