Civic Engagement Policy & Framework Development
Civic Engagement Policy and Framework Development
The City of Pitt Meadows is excited to be developing a Civic Engagement Policy and Framework with local community engagement firm MODUS.
We are drawing on best practices and local input to guide future citizen engagement and allow for better informed decision making and partnership with the public on issues in the City. By involving citizens in the project, we will be able to create strategies and tools that will best meet the public’s needs and preferences for participation.
Input from Pitt Meadows residents, businesses, community groups, committees, staff and City Council is essential to developing the policy and framework, and we invite you to get involved.
Engagement about the Civic Engagement Policy will run through October and November 2017.
The City is seeking input on how you would like to engage with your local government and on what topics. Answer the survey, and if you choose to submit your name and email at the end, you'll be entered to win a Pitt Prize Pack!
Residents attended focus group sessions with Modus on October 16 and 17, giving input, ideas and examples of ways to improve community engagement at the City of Pitt Meadows. Thank you to those who attended! Outcomes from these sessions will be summarized into a report and posted here on our website - stay tuned.
