Criteria for Posting Events

This Event Calendar is open to any Maple Ridge or Pitt Meadows organization whose events meet our Posting Criteria. Please follow the steps below to fill in the form and post events on the City of Pitt Meadows website. Your message will be reviewed by our editor and you will be notified via e-mail if your event will be posted.

To ensure that your event has all the necessary City and Provincial permits, please review our Event Resource page.

Instructions For Posting

Before you begin completing this form, view our checklist to be sure you have all the necessary information. Use these tips to help get your listing(s) approved by our Calendar Editor.

Add as much detail as required
Refrain from using all upper case (CAPS) throughout the application (acronyms are excluded, ex. SPCA)
Do not use "quotation" marks in your event name
Check for spelling and grammatical errors
Obtain permission before publishing another person's contact info

Please allow a minimum of four working days for posting. Fields with an asterisk (*) are required fields, so they must not be omitted.

Posting Criteria

The Calendar of Events is intended for use by community event organizers including non-profit groups and agencies, our partner community associations, visual and performing artists, artisans, and others whose events make a positive contribution to our community.

All announcements are subject to the approval of the designated Website Calendar Administrators. The District of Maple Ridge and the City of Pitt Meadows reserve the right to refuse any submission at the Administrators' discretion.

The City's objectives in offering the Calendar of Events service on the District of Maple Ridge and City of Pitt Meadows website is to support the activities of groups that contribute to the vibrancy and enjoyment of our community and who contribute in a positive way to the following:

recreational, cultural, and social opportunities
preservation and development of our arts, culture, and heritage
community wellness
public safety
tolerance and intercultural harmony
community liveability
quality of life for all who live, work, or visit in our community

The City will not knowingly approve the use of the Calendar of Events to support the activities of any groups or agencies whom it deems, in its absolute discretion, may intentionally, or unintentionally, serve to undermine any of the above.

The Calendar of Events is provided as a public service. The content of Calendar of Events posting is the responsibility of the submitter. The District of Maple Ridge and the City of Pitt Meadows accept no responsibility for the information contained in any message approved for posting on this bulletin board, or any damages caused by the posting of incorrect or inappropriate information.

We reserve the right to edit messages for grammar and clarity, and the right to refuse any message in our absolute discretion.
