Eagles in the City
Rising Spirit is part of the Eagles In The City project of the Lions Society of BC for Disabled Children.
The statue was painted by local artist Linda Nelson and was placed in Spirit Park in Pitt Meadows. The paintings on the statue reflect the agriculture, fishing and natural environment of the Pitt Meadows area. Our project was sponsored by the Pitt Meadows Lions Club.
All 135 Eagles from around the province will migrate to the Westin Bayshore while only 30 of them will be auctioned live at The Great Eagle Gala & Auction. The Pitt Meadows Community Foundation is spearheading a fundraising drive to participate in the auction for our Rising Sprit Eagle to remain in our Spirit Square. Ridge Meadows Chamber has just signed on to help as well. All donations are tax deductible.
