Wondering what’s going on around town in the next month? 

Here are some highlights to help you navigate your way through the holiday season.

November 22 thru January 6, 2017 –  Christmas Light Recycling.  Drop off any non-LED Christmas light strings (with or without bulbs) for recycling at the Pitt Meadows Family Recreation Centre, free of charge.

Until December 31  – Check out the Holiday Lights Guide! Tis the season for taking time to celebrate the twinkling displays throughout the City!  The online Holiday Lights Guide is your guide to the best and brightest lights in Pitt Meadows. Until December 20 - Add Your Street to the Holiday Lights Guide! If you have some fabulous holiday lights on your street, we want to know! We’d like to include your street in the online Holiday Lights Guide.  The online guide will feature the best and brightest light displays in the community and is your guide for holiday light sightseeing in Pitt Meadows. One lucky resident will also be chosen as the community Christmas Light Winner. December 10 – The Pitt Meadows Fire & Rescue Services Annual Food & Toy Drive at various locations throughout the community between 10am and 3:30pm.  Make your donation of new, unwrapped toys, non-perishable food items, or cash.

December 16 – The CP Holiday Train will stop in Pitt Meadows at approximately 8:45pm.  Bring a food or cash donation and support your community during the holiday season.  Every pound of food and dollar raised stays with our local food bank.  Dallas Smith and Odds will provide musical entertainment for all. January 2017 - Meadows Landscape Supply Annual Tree Chipping. Meadows Landscape at 18020 Kennedy Road will be hosting the annual tree recycling/chipping event and accepting trees until the end of January by donation, to support the Pitt Meadows Lions Club and Girl Guides. Stop by on January 7 or 8, between 9am – 4pm and enjoy a donut and/or cup of coffee provided by the Lions and Girl Guides.
